Bought a new Ruger GP100 6" Stainless! Got to put 100 rounds through it today, 50 .38sp and 50 .357mag. I like the .357mag a little more, it's a little more kick and a different kind of boom . However, when I first got the gun, in the store I dried fired it a few times to get a feel for it against the S&W. Well the gun was evidently VERY dry and I didn't notice till I got home, but it scratched the cylinder where the lock grabs it all the way around the cylinder. It's scratched fairly good, but since I oiled the gun, it seems to have stopped scratching it. Is this normal? Other then that, I love the gun!
