Bought my First Glock... a G30

Sure hope I did the right thing. I owned a Sig P220 once and regret ever selling it. Have always been a 1911 nut. Was going to pick up another P220 but the Glock 30 grabbed my attention. Sure hope I made the right decision... Wish me luck! :)
 
I have a 30 also. A VERY nice piece.
Now, go find some good leather to carry

The Glock 30 is a fine gun... My first Glock was also a G30... It worked great, but I eventually sold it and moved onto other weapons... Have fun!
 
I envey you and your new Glock 30. I owned a Sig P-220 and the finish on the slide wore off prematurely and rusted. Your Glock will not do this. I own 4 Glocks a 17, 19, 21, 22 and 18 different 1911s. I don't own a 30 yet but one day I will. I just bought a Kimber Custom Combat Carry in .45acp and a Kel-Tec P-32. If I buy another gun, my wife is gonna have a running fit, so I've gotta cool it for a little while.

Dogger, I'm very happy with my G30. I have a few hundred rounds through it with no problems what so ever. I recommend Sidearmor for your holster needs.(www.sidearmor.net)

thanks for the posts. I spent some time last night familiarizing myself with this pistol -- man, am I impressed! I look forward to the first trip to the range. And thanks for the tips on holsters. :)
 
Ahhh...what luck. Wife and I went to our FFL yesterday. As I mentioned, she said next pistol was hers. Guess who now has HER G30? You got it! But she says she'll let me use it. :)

After putting 25,000 rounds or so through my G21, I was amazed that I was shooting better groups with my new G30, right out of the box. I've since added night sights, Wolff guide rod set with 19# springs. Have .400 Cor-Bon barrel coming in tomorrow.

Bought one of those G26 peashooters for my daughter over the weekend. After I put night sights on it and run a couple of hundred rounds through it, I'll actually let her take possession.
