... mixed feelings thus far.
the receiver, bolt, and scope rail(not mount or scope included) serials all match, everything else does not. the rifle itself is a 1900 Carl Gustaf. stock is a beech replacement with a dark surface stain. all in all I have mixed feelings on it. on one hand it mixes the feel in hand of the springfield(my favorite american made service rifle) and the crisp cock on close action that I assosiate with the Arisaka and enfield(my favorite foreign service rifles). on the other hand it's a lot heavier and longer than I was anticipating and the mixed parts has me seriously bummed as a collector. I hope after I put some rounds down range I will be impressed but until then I just don't know what I think about it...
I bought a bunch of wood projectile training ammo and pulled a number and loaded with standard soft points for cheap plinking ammo(about 35 cents a round total) so hopefully I will be able to see how she does this weekend.
