Bought a Springfield Armory - XD9

My dealer had these in for $420. Always wanted one since they first came out as the HS2000. Am not too fond of the polymer type pistols, but these do appeal to the eye.
Wish the dealer would of had it in 357 Sig, still I'm content with the 9MM.

Whitebear.....good quick thinking:D

I've got a gen1 HS2k that I like a lot....so much so that I got it back from a guy I traded it to in a moment of financial weakness.

Not to say it is better than a Glock......but, the grip angle is better to me. I'm accustomed to a 1911 and Glocks just point too high. The grip feels slimmer and better contoured for my hand. The double recoil spring system, similar to that on mini glocks soaks up what recoil a 9mm can give. All in all, I like it.

The SA XD9 should serve you well.

Haven't had time yet to take it out to shoot. Been longing for one ever since the HS2000 hit the market. People have written many good things about them in the gun forums.

Here's some pics of the XD9 to go with the thread. Finally found a new site to post pics from since my old site closed up.

I own a 2nd Gen HS2000 and like it very much. As someone mentioned, I am not going to get into the "its better/worse than a Glock". I also own a G26 and like it very much too.

That being said, the ergonomics of the HS2000/XD9 is much more to my liking than a similiar sized Glock. It feels good in my hands and I really do enjoy shooting it.
