Bought a S&W M&P45 compact last night

Been thinking of getting one of these polymer pistols since back when the XD's first hit the market. It's always been on my mind and now that I'm a little older and have more money in the gun FUNd, I decided to get one.

The Smith grip just felt better and the sights lined up more naturally, and I can't complain about it being made in the USA. I didn't get a deal on it or anything, but like I said, I always wanted something like this.

Now I just need to shoot it a bunch and decide on a holster. I'm sure a sight upgrade might happen down the road. Any recommendations on either? I'd likely carry this a fair amount.

I highly recommend Dawson precision sights. I put a tritium front and black charger rear on a Walther PPQ I just sold.

I also had Talon grips on that PPQ and HIGHLY recommend them. I had the rubber type on my pistol, and they allowed a much more secure grip. So if you find your grip a bit slippery when your hands are sweaty, try Talon grips.

Congratulations on the M&P. I don't have any thing to add but I just bought a lightly used police trade in .40c. It does have Trijicon night sights which is a nice upgrade if you are inclined.

Anyway, I haven't shot mine yet but look forward to it. Look forward to updates to this post too.

Hope you enjoy your .45c.
