Boresighter Question

Any suggestions on a bore sighting system for my 1911? I've seen several laser-equiped sighting systems, and there's a non-laser item called SITE-A-LINE from Alley Supply. The laser ones are generally four times or more the price of the SITE-A-LINE, so I'm wondering whether they are four times or more effective.

No scope involved, if that matters.

Thanks.

Why not? I could use it on my other firearms without the need to spend as much money on ammo, gas, and range time.

I could possibly see it for a rifle, dont normally think of it being used for a pistol.

I dont use them at all, just sight at an object at a distance down the bore and dial the cross hairs onto it. Been doing it for about 30 years now and never had any troubles.

Yeah, I don't imagine it would be optimal for elevation on my pistols' fixed sights, given the short effective range, but at least it should help me set up windage.

If it was for just one gun, it wouldn't be worth it.
