Bore Tech Eliminator

Some folks like it... Personally, I stick with Butch's Bore Shine...

It's got a nice penetrator, it works good on the carbon, and it has just enough ammonia to work well. And Butch was a nice guy.

I use Eliminator, it's one of the best kept secrets kinda. It doesn't use ammonia so you can use it in doors. It will attack carbon but it's better suited to attack copper. Once you apply it in your barrel, let it sit for a few minutes and then scrub it will a brush. Run a jag through your barrel from the breach end or at least a tight fitting patch to remove all the crud, repeat as needed.

If you read the article you'll notice that copper and carbon can build up in layers. Using a copper solvent and a carbon cleaner together will be the best way to insure that you remove everything.

Great product. Have been using it for three years. I use it at the range to remove copper. When I get home I clean the barrel with Wipe Out Foam Bore Cleaner. Another great product. Neither of these bore cleaners have ammonia in them and they don't stink.

I do use the powder solvent first as the copper directly contacts the lands and the products of combustion is layered on top of the copper.

Great news guys, thanks for replying to an old thread. I use Sweets but am not happy with its performance. Ill have to see if they stock the eliminator in Australia.
