Book Review: Gun Women

I spend some time on the Ms. Board, too, and I can tell you there is not really a "feminist consensus" on the issue. It's just that the anti's in the feminist ranks seem to make a lot more noise about it.

On that board I have advanced the position that RKBA is a feminist issue, because women are often a "targeted class" for criminals, and a gun can even up the differences in physical stature. Some agreed, some said yeah, but I could never shoot anyone, and some said it's just making excuses for male chauvinists to play with phallic symbols. Oh well, everybody's got an opinion.

Generally speaking, when I hear a woman using words like "male chauvinist" or "phallic symbol", I assume that she is worried that her girlfriend might want to date me....
