Bolt Polishing , okay ,,but receiver work ?

Hi first post here ! so hi everybody !!

i'm in the work of polishing my bolt (rimfire) it's not a trouble since not the first polishing job i do! ... but my receiver seem a little bit rought ..

it's a good idea to work it a little bit ? since i polish the bolt .. can i do the same for the receiver ? (i know it's a little bit harder but i have time this winter)

just to know what your thinking about it .. i have done some research but i have found nothing about that ...

Welcome to the forum.

It is not uncommon to do a bit of bolt way polishing if the bolt is not loose to start with. Since you don't see the inside of the receiver you can limit the polishing to where it is needed. I would mark the bolt with Prussian blue or with a felt marker and run it in to see where it is rough? Polish those areas until the bolt operation feels smooth.
