Bogus attacks on the RKBA

Has anyone noticed that someone seems to be taking great joy in pulling our chains lately?

There was the false rumor of a WalMart survery (one that even managed to snare the NRA).

Then there was the false "columnist getting fired" rumor over the Bethlehem, PA march coverage.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to better verify this information before acting on it? Perhaps if these "alerts" were followed up by a TFL member inquiring and then posting what they found?

On the one hand, I am sure both Wal-Mart and the newspaper involved have a new respect for the number of people who support the RKBA.

On the other hand, nobody likes to receive hundreds of irate letters blaming you for something you didn't do.

"Gray" (reversed) propaganda is often the most effective when you need to get people riled up.

We need to try some of that. Heres a suggestion that's sure to get them riled:
1. We send out a memo to all animal rights group stating that instead of the standard euthanization, which can cost up to $100. The Animal control centers will be using 45acp, which comes in at about $.40 a round, and can be reloaded.
:D :D
