BM59 question?

Anyone try a BM59 with a Federal Ordnance (Interarms?) receiver? Was wondering what the quality is, as it is not Beretta. I have located one in town for a good price with mags, and want to see if these kit guns are good buys.
 
thanks for the info. i KNEW it was too good to be true! Rifle is pretty nice looking, pristine barrel, 9 hi Caps, all for $1200....

These are great rifles. Not just garands with box magazines but improved garands. Don't know about the FO receivers but the mags run about $75. if you can find them. Check out Reese Surplus Inc for more info.
I have a BM62 and love it. It would be my last gun to go.;)
 
I have a Golden State Arms BM59 that I got a few years ago. I can not seem to find very much info on it ref. value,parts,accuracy,etc. Every time I ask someone that might know I get different answers. Could I trouble this esteemed group to give me a short history and what to expect in those other areas? Many thanks!!
