Where can i get good blueprints/ construction plans for a Colt 1911A1 ? Cad or DWG files are nice, even printed format.

I have this outfit's Garand drawings and found them satisfactory. Their book, Pistol, Automatic, Cal .45, M1911A1: Diagrams & Pictures, is $30. You just have to scroll down far enough to find it.

all colt measurements are inches. if you seek metric, my collection on the - KPS Peters 1911 - is more comprehensive & in german. but no direct cad files.

3D solid models, PDF blueprints, I think they have autocad blueprints also. The have AR-15's, AR-10's, 1911's, Ruger 10/22 reciever as far as I know right now. Pretty cool stuff.
