BLR/BPR in 30-06 or .308

I have been reading old posts on these rifles, and it seems they are very high quality, reliable firearms. I have a couple of concerns, though. Did I understand correctly that Browning recommends that you do not disasemble the rifle for cleaning? Is this a lawyer thing (rifle breaks down and reassembles easily, but we told you not to, so we are covered) or is it actually inadvisable to disassemble the weapon? I have not decided between the 2 calibers above, but am really getting into the idea of a 30-06 lever action as an all around hunter/defense combo. Any thoughts on these rifles would be appreciated.

here is the actual text:
Further Disassembly --

NEVER ATTEMPT TO TAKE YOUR LIGHTNING BLR APART FURTHER THAN EXPLAINED IN THIS MANUAL.

This is a specialized, finely fitted mechanism. You may permanently mar it by attempting to disassemble the inner mechanism assemblies.
If further disassembly for service or cleaning is required, take your gun to a Browning recommended Service Center or a competent
gunsmith, or send it to our Arnold, Missouri Service Facility as explained under "Service or Repair."

all of the browning manuals have this clause, but some of the manuals (like the BAR) show trigger group removal.
