Never had one

but I did see Dave Petzal of Field & Stream magazine review one on the "Gun Nuts" television show. It seemed to work really slick and was accurate.

Just me, but if I was going to drop that kind of money on a single rifle, it would have to have a longer barrel and more than just pretty wood. But I'm not rich so, go figure.
 
Good looking guns but way too much money for me. Looking quick on gunbroker, the cheapest one listed is an R8 professional with synthetic stock for $3450. Definitely not in my budget.

I too looked at gun broker and an R8 (plain Jane version) in .300 Win Mag. was just over $2000. And I agree on the barrel length. Should be longer.

I just looked at prices for the older R93 version. The lowest I found was $3500!! And they have to be manually unloaded like a 700 Remington ADL. What a rip.

Guess I'll have to keep buying my Remington, Winchester, Ruger and Savage rifles that will no doubt work just as fine as these things.
