Blackhawk or S&W 29 .44 Mag

I can get a nice stainless Ruger Redhawk for around $450, or a excellent USED S&W Model 29 (blue) for $400. Stainless is nice, but action much smoother on the Smith... What would you guys get to take in the woods with you?

In my experience, they are both probably equals in most of the ways that really count. But, there's just something special about the 29 that the Ruger will never have (don’t ask me what... I don’t know). I suppose my decision would be based on how used the Smith was.

I just Bought a New Super Blackhawk with a 5.5" bbl for about the cost your paying ($549 Canadian).

Man this is a sweet single Action, the snick snick snick of the cylinder rotating is a mesmerizing Sound..... :) :) :) :)

My take on em is that the Ruger is the strongest; and the Smith is strong enough while being the finest.

You didn't state the vintage or bbl length of the 29.

Sam...those things are boomers in the basement.

Believe you'll have the highest satisfaction with the Redhawk.
For better trigger dry-fire 10,000 times.
