Blackhawk grips for Vaquero

I have a set of Ivory grips, among all the gun stuff yet to be unpacked, for a Super Blackhawk. I took the off the Blackhawk and installed the Pachymers because of needed control with heavy loads.
Will they fit my 96 and later Vaquero?

A Ruger M96 is a rifle.
Anyway, Super Blackhawk grips will not fit a New Vaquero or a Blackhawk.
Altamont makes the grips for Ruger. Their site tells you what fits what.

If it's a 4.62" or 5.5" Super Blackhawk, then yes. If it's a 7.5" or 10", no.

I don't know about the new shorter barrel ones, but all the old "new model Super Blackhawks) (7.5") with the dragoon trigger guard have a longer (or taller, if you prefer) grip frame than the New Model Blackhawks. and the original Vaqueros.

Grips DO not interchange.

Blackhawk grips usually fit the Vaquero.

If your gun says "New Vaquero" on the frame, NOTHING else will fit it but New Vaquero grips.

The 4.62" and 5.5" models have the standard Blackhawk/Vaquero grip frame.

Not to be confused with the New Vaquero but if it's a 1996 model it ain't.

I beg to differ with you. The New Vaquero grips will interchange with the New Model Flat Tops.

I bought this New Vaquero for the grips:



Put these grips on the Vaquero and sold it:



Then bought this New Model Flat Top .44 Special and put the stags on it:



Worked out quite well for me.

Thanks for the correction, Bob. I bow to your superior expertise, as I am unfamiliar with flat tops, and the latest changes to Ruger SAs and their grip frames.
