Blackhawk 9mm sticky cases

Just picked up a New Model Blackhawk convertible with the .357 and 9mm cylinders. The 9mm cases stick and can't be pushed out with the extractor rod. Have to remove the cylinder and push them out with the base pin. Any thoughts on why this is happening? It's usually one or two cases per cylinder. Do I need to use lighter loads with the revolver than with an auto pistol?

What kind of ammo are you shooting?
I bought one two years ago and I reload for it and have never had that issue

Examine the back of the casings and see what the?e primer looks like. You can tell how hot it is by the tooling marks left in the primer. Compare the ones that stick to the ones that don't. Also keep track and see if its the same hole each time. A primer that is smashed shows some high pressure.

sorry you have this trouble. mine digests the cheapest russian non brass ammo without a hiccup. try ruger customer service, which is excellent though busy: ruger gave me gratis my blackhawk convertible when it was unable to upgrade an old three screw bearcat that i found and sent in.

I just picked up a Ruger LCR and it experienced similar issues. I think Ruger has "upgraded" some of their equipment and the tolerances are tight. I sent the LCR back and they replaced the cylinder. I did a polish on each chamber and it appears okay.
