Is it legal to ship this stuff? I've been thinking about selling it and buying some Winchester Ranger T series .40

The Black Talons are legal and always were. Back in the 80's due to bad publicity Winchester stopped making it. I have an original box of 9mm that was given to me back then by someone in the Baltimore County PD. The talons came to a point. A box of .40S&W I bought last year at a local gunshop has them rounded. I couldn't say what difference it makes. I think it's the teflon coated rounds that are being confused with the Talons. Anyway, I've been using Federal Hydra Shok for years and kinda prefer them. But I think they're both overpriced.

I don't know how legal it is selling ammo through the mail. I'd imagine that there'd be licensing involved.

I have another question. I have three boxes of Ranger 155gr JHP but nowhere on the box does it show the "T". It's also brass cased instead of nickel and I've had it laying around for at least 5 years. I'm guessing the "T" series is a improved version of this Ranger?

Sell the BT's and use the money to buy some Winchester "T" series
ammmo. Guess what the "T" stands for? The Ranger ammo comes
in several different types: "T", bonded, SXT, etc.

Winchester sxt (same exact thing)

I'm sure you can find someone that'll buy into black talon lore, ESP if they want a bullet that will go through a steel door, then body armor and then give the BGs momma cancer.

It's just a bullet.

LoL. I had a couple of boxes of BT in .357 Magnum. Due to all the hoopla about them,, I was able to sell them to a guy who KNEW the world was going to end and he would need Black Talons to save himself and his family.

Let us know what you get for them.

The bad publicity was the use of Black Talon at the shooting up of a law office at 101 California Street, San Francisco in the early '90s. As part of the out of court settlement, Winchester agreed not to sell Black Talon to the consumer market. They restricted their sales to law enforcement only. That is why Winchester developed its Ranger ammunition. Similar, but different enough to skirt the settlement agreement. Bravo!

Ky Bob. Go ahead and sell them.
