I tried searching for this earlier, but could not find it.
I am curious on how much a pistol costs to have finished in Black T, pistol in question being a 92F.
Does the company have a website, or does anyone know a contact number?

Wow, $155 is an excellent price. My current Springfield 1911 re-finish by Bearcoat is gonna be over $100 more than that. However, my previous .45 Bearcoat finish has proved to be outstanding.

I spoke with Mr. Birdsong yesterday. He spent a good deal of time on the phone with me, and was very upfront on prices, turn around time, and the process of the finish. Cheers to him and his company.

He lost me with alot of the technical stuff, what I can remember it is a time consuming process, with a good result. Cleaning the weapon involves a slightly oiled rag, clean the bore as normal, and you need not apply oil to the rails. The lubricity factor is very high, as is the corrosion factor. The finish will take several thousand hours of abuse, alot more than any of use could do.
Turn around time is about 8 weeks. Due to current events, plan on longer. He does finishing on all types of weapons, and brought up the point that articles on his finish are non solicited.
Prices are $155 with pistol and two mags, I forget the extra cost if you send in more mags. For LE, it is $125, same deal, with documentation.
He did bring up a good point. Don't use UPS. They have had too many problems with shipping, we all know that, and they pretty mcuh use Fed Ex exclusively. Safer company, and quicker shipping.

Walter is very good as well as is his finish. We were once back yard neighbors when he was running his operation from his garage, U.S. Govt. contracts and all. The Man Will Get Very Busy Now The finish is tough enough but still slippery. I have an Ithica M37 Marine that he took from chrom to Black T. The finish has outlasted two trucks riding behind the seat!. He's worth looking into.
