I have a guy doing some custom grip inserts for me and the stainless screw is not going to look very good being in the middle of the picture, does anyone know where I can get a black screw that would work?

Either dip the head in a can of black paint, or spray some black paint on the screw (poked through a larger piece of cardboard to hold it until the paint dries)

.

The standard grip screw is a 1 1/8", with a thread pitch of 4x40.

I bet you could find/order this from any Fastenal or like-minded fastener company. Or better yet, check the local hardware stores to see if they carry something, or can order you a few. Give the little stores a chance first! I promise they appreciate it!

If you can't find a black one that will stay looking good (I worry about paint coming off quickly) you can heat the one you have and oil quench the head. Will darken it and give it a case blue look. That is the way I would go.

Or, get it Duracoated black.
