Black Powder Revolver Nipple Wrench

Take a 3/16 socket and cut a slot in it for the shoulder of the nipple and you will have the best device available for removing a nipple.
 
Chapman makes a good ratcheting nipple wrench.

I see Cabelas sells the Ted Cash ratcheting nipple wrench for twenty bucks. Not sure if Chapman manufactures it.

Don't waste your money on those black aluminum T-handle pieces of crap.

Whether you make your own out of a socket or buy one, the right tool sure makes stubborn nipples less frustrating.
 
3/16 w/slot cut is best---the old wrenches that came w/2nd and 3rd colts work much better the new nipple wrenches that are too soft.
