Black Hills ammunition, any good?

long shot

I'm interested in their 115-gr.+p 9mm and their 155-gr. 40 load. It says on their website, that the 155-gr. 40 uses the Gold Dot bullet, does anyone know what bullet is used in the 115-gr.+p 9mm load?

Also, does anyone have any penetration/expansion numbers on the 9mm load?

Thanks in advance...{long shot}

I've READ good things about it but don't have any first hand experince with it myself -- nobody in my area, that I am aware of, even carries it.

I've heard good things as well but no one around her (East TN) seems to stock it and I don't think you can order direct.

In the last 18 months I have seen approximately 160,000 rounds of Black Hills Ammunitions ammo fired down range. There are never any surprises with this ammunition, just consistently good performance. I teach firearms for my agency, a local community college and our state's certification program, thus the reason I get to see so much of it fired.
Shooting both their new and remanufactured ammunition, the last thing one has to worry about is the reliability of the ammunition, it is superb. I just bought 5,000 rounds of 5.56mm and 5,000 rounds of .45 ACP, and hope to expend most of that in the next week or so. I trust my life to Black Hills Ammunition and give it the highest recommendation. Having been allowed to see the extra quality control and inspection that the head of BHA insists on, I remain always confident in their product. In the later part of this year, I hope to be giving their match grade .308 Winchester a good workout.

I had three boxes of fifty and it was great ammo. Kilroy, where do you order it from in bulk? Web site?

Thanks,
