Bisley grip frame

How hard is it to replace the grip frame on a Blackhawk with a Bisley grip frame? Does the frame have to be blued? Does the mainspring and trigger spring need to be replaced also?
 
Do a search under the Revolver Forum entering keyword: Blackhawk, and user name: Jim Keenan. He covered this quite extensively a month or two ago, IIRC. :)
 
It is not hard, You can buy the kit from brownells. I am pretty sure the carbon steel grip frames come "in the white", which means after fitting they have to be blued. Some other makers sell these already blued I think. Like Qualite of Powers??

Mostly just a parts swap. Yes, the frame needs polished and blued. I used Oxpho Blue from www.brownells.com Sure, the springs can be re-used.
