Birth Date of a Smith Model 27-2

I have a nice 27-2, 5" barrel, N-frame .357. Serial number is N362xxx. It is a 5 screw, pinned barrel. Any idea the year of manufacture? Previous owner says he bought NIB in 1977. I'll post pictures tomorrow when I can get some nice shots!

Well, let's see here - - -

The number block N190001 -- N430000 shows to have been produced in 1975 -- 1977. If production was evenly spread, N362xxx would probably have been made in late '76 or early '77.
