Bipod for bull-barrel, free-floated AR-15?

I'm thinking of getting a bipod at the gun show tomorrow. I know that the Harris models are popular (I'd probably get the one that tilts). But I think B-Square makes some nice looking ones, and maybe others as well. What do you recommend? Thanks.

The Harris is field proven. I'd get the BRS or LS model for your AR15. Federal Arms Corp. has them for excellent prices.

I would second the Harris. They make a nice product now. I lot of them are out in the field and performing well. They seem kind of clunky, so the engineer in me made me sit down and try to figure out how to make them better. After a whole bunch of thought I came to the conclusion that they aren't broke so why fix em.

I have a Harris bipod on my free floated AR and love it! Midway sells them for a good price. Takes 1 minute to install and is a quality product.

Thanks for the info. It sounds like Harris is the brand to get. I'm leaning toward the LMS model (9-13 inches, swivel, legs eject by spring and have notches every inch or so). BUT, I wonder if...

1) The relatively new "M" models are the way to go - is it better to have the spring assist with extension of the legs (as in the Ms) or assist with retracting the legs (all other models)?

2) Will 9-13" be a good height range? I'll mostly be shooting from the bench, but I also want to be able to use it prone, and possibly from car hoods, tree stumps, etc. Harris also makes a 6-9" and 11-25" versions. When I shoot off sandbags, I think I usually have it at least a 6" stack, but I haven't really measured. If it makes any difference, I'm 6'2". I'll probably be ordering this, so trying it before I buy (or returning it) won't be a very good option. Thanks.

I recomend the model "L" as it has served me well. 9-13 inches should be a good range for you. Here's a pic of mine.
