Biometric safes?

I remember that there were some decidedly mixed reviews on the reliability of the GunVault biometric units when they first came out.

Are the glitches worked out, or are they still shaky on reliability?

The rapid secure access seems attractive if they work well, but if not they could be a disaster. Recent experiences appreciated.

At least 5 or 6 years for mine. Still works perfectly. Use it sometimes, especially when certain company comes over. I've heard only of battery issues, and when that happens, you should contact the mfr immediately, because mine seem to last forever.
