Hi; I have a new Heritage Rough Rider single action .22 w/.22 mag cylinders as well. I bought this back in the late 90's, never fired it, always stored indoors. I know that it is an inexpensive gun. I recently went to fire it and although the hammer cocks back fine and the cylinder rotates as it should and locks up correctly..............ONLY when empty! If I load fired cartridges or live .22 ammo, the cylinder binds severely and thus the hammer will not be able to be cocked either. I have had to literally cock the hammer against a tree to get it to advance to the next cylinder. If the cartridges are out, it operates perfectly. It has be an interference problem with cartridges loaded. Anyone has clues where to start?
