New York City's billionares gun grabber and ex-mayor Michael Bloomberg just drooped $ 250,000 to bail out anti-gun U.S. senator Thad Cochran .Will Cochran reward Bloomberg by supporting even more gun control. The article didn't say what he was arrested for.

The article linked to by BarryLee doesn't say anything about an arrest or Bloomberg posting bail to get Cochran out of jail.

Does Bloomberg know something we don't?

The worst I’ve seen right now is guilt by association, but it probably bears watching. I know Bloomberg is supporting US Senate Candidate Michele Nunn in Georgia. Nunn has been pretty quite on the issue of gun control in general, but she is probably much more open to new laws than her opponents.

I do not believe Bloomberg is looking for some kind of quid pro quo from these candidates. However, I do believe he is supporting candidates that he believes will be more supportive of his agenda. Whether Cochran is sympathetic to his cause or just the lesser of two evils in Bloomberg’s eyes remains to be seen.

I can almost guarantee you that it is trying to push the lesser of two evils. Cochran's opponent in the runoff primary is a Tea Party candidate (the slimy trial lawyer I referred to earlier). He (the opponent) is typical Tea Party - if the bill isn't 100% to his satisfaction he'll block the whole thing and cause gridlock.

He's a businessman, and a good one. He wouldn't invest without some hope of return.

Nunn, I can see. Both of the Republicans going into runoff are working hard to gain the NRA's favor, so he's got no leverage there.

Is Bloomberg going to "bail out" the CA politician (anti-gun) who got arrested for gun running (among other things?) with the Chinese?
too?

Hey Doyle,.. Do you know, or have you ever heard of Billy Jack Mcdaniels?? Here is your "Trial Lawyer"
And you are right, The NRA does support Thad but I cant tell you why. Thad has been really Big on 2A issues..(Sarcasm)
