Big loop for my Marlin 336c

Just registered in the Marlinowners forum and found a fellow "Muleman" who will convert your standard lever to a big loop "Muleman" or any other loop of your design. I should be getting it back in a week or so. I'll post pics for anyone who's interested in seeing the result.

I can't see any reason at all to go from the standard lever loop to an oversized one, other than a TV cowboy hero from the 60's had one that looked cool to all us kids. The big loop is slower to operate, less sure in its movement, tougher to get into a rifle scabbard, and just plain in the way and adding no benefit. Still...if that's what you want , go for it.

The most useful aspect of an oversized loop is when the shooter is in cold enough air to warrant thick gloves.

I agree 100%. I've got pretty big hands and, even when wearing gloves, I have no problem whatsoever fitting them inside the loops of my Winchester Model 94 and 1886 rifles.
