Big long list of anti-gun people, companies, and organizations

The NRA recently released a long list of people and organizations, from celebrities to journalists who are actively trying to diminish and even abolish your 2nd Ad. rights. While many of those listed are no brainers, it is a refresher course to help us be a little more aware of the antis we did not know previously.

List can be seen here:

In can only help us to be just a little more vigilant in determining where our money goes to. The corporate list was an eye-opener for me. Levi-Strauss???

I can't say that anyone on the "celebrity" list shocked me. I would wager a guess that there are more than a few of them, though, that cary a gun on their person or have someone close to them that does.

The one that did shock me some is Silver Dollar City. I have been around Pete Herschend many times and would never have guessed this.

I have never been much of a movie fan or such. I guess to me movie stars are like Court Jesters in the old days. Usually are nothing more than Entertainers for the bored. I put no credibility in there words or actions. Very simply-They are there for my entertainment purpose only. They hold no higher respect than Tom,Dick or Harry.

They don't have real jobs so they get bored and try to become activists. I'd be a celebrity if I had the chance though.

Levi Strauss... wow, never would have guessed.

Pity though, I like their jeans.

Nothing else really is a surprise on that list. I thought it'd be longer.

That's a major chunk of Hollywood. I did not see Charlize Theron, who might understand the issues, based on the huge growth of crime in one or two South African cities and the resultant home fortifications and guns required. She is South African and speaks Afrikaans (on Youtube).

It's ironic that so many organizations and actors on that list are of a certain ethnic or religious persuasion, and all of them should know better about disarmament and monstrous mass murder, based on history.

Everybody on that list makes a career in a world of fantasy and pretension.

Merci beau coup.

I don't really understand why anyone would be surprised to see any actor or musician on the list. They live their lives and make their fortunes pretending to be something that they are not. This goes for politicians as well for the most part.

I used to like Springsteen's music, but recently got so disgusted with him that I chunked all his cds and tapes I had in the trash.

Its ironic that some of those actors on that list make thier millions off of action movies. I guess I wont be watching any of thier movies anytime soon.

Some nice quotes to go with some of the more hypocritical members of that list:

Mark Wahlberg - Convicted of attempted murder, assault, and multiple other crimes. “Certainly, I haven’t used a gun anywhere other than on a movie set and I’d like to see if we could take them all away.”

Sean Connery - In the UK handgun ban ad campaign: “It is said that a total ban on handguns, including .22s, would take away innocent pleasure from thousands of people. Is that more or less pleasure than watching your child grow up?”

Arnold Swarzenegger - “I’m for gun control. I’m a peace-loving guy.” ... that made 90% of my money on films where I blow people to pieces.

Sylvester Stallone - (UK interview, responding to a murder) “Until America, door to door, takes every handgun, this is what you’re gonna have. It’s pathetic. It really is pathetic. It’s sad. We’re living in the Dark Ages over there.” ...says the man most recognized for pounding faces on one hand, and spraying lead with an M60 in the other.

Jon St. Jon - (Duke Nukem voice actor) “I don’t care for guns in general. It bothers me in this country how free we are to bear arms. They say ‘Guns don’t kill people, people kill people’ – well, no, I think people with guns kill people. Quite frankly I’d like to see stronger gun laws in this country.”

Daniel Craig - "I hate handguns. Handguns are used to shoot people and as long as they are around, people will shoot each other. That's a simple fact. ... Bullets have a nasty habit of finding their target and that's what's scary about them."

Nothing like sanctimonious posturing from a bunch of hypocrites. Most of those individuals are my list of PIPNATs-People I Pay No Attention To.
