White Lightning 28g/28" LNIB with six choke tubes and all accessories. Three years old, only shot a couple of times. Gun is 95% plus. $1250 asking price. I wanna pull the trigger. What say you, or anybody else for that matter!?!

Well, $ 2,140 is list new.....and in my area, Brownings sell new for about
$ 300 under list ...so call it $ 1,900...

--------------------
$ 1,250 ...with extra chokes....I'd say its a good deal / and I know the Lightning series fits you pretty well....so I don't see how you can get hurt in that deal.

but look what just popped up in the new catalog....( an XS Skeet in 28ga...and 30" barrels at $ 3,199 list...) that gun used to only be available as a special order...( and I have one in 28ga and .410 ) both 30" barrels, that are both spectacular guns ...and frankly more versatile than the Lightning model ....because its a parallel comb gun .../ and I think they probably made it on the 20ga frame...( and so is mine )..

My XS skeet models ( top one is 12ga, then 20ga, 28ga and .410 ) all in
30" barrels....and while I really like the adj comb / it was not available on the 28ga and .410's I found new in boxes about 10 yrs ago at a local dealer that had 50 of each made....they happen to fit me really well right out of the box....

but I like the 28ga a lot !! Tough decisions my friend....!!

I'm buying it just because I want a 28 to screw around with. Maybe a little real bird hunting and an occasional round of clay targets. Clean and put away for another time.

You'll love it .....no matter which one of the three, you decide on ....

of course they make a 625 in 28ga too.....and probably shortly they'll make the 725 ( that you love ) in 28ga as well...???

Of course its no different than shooting 3/4 oz loads in one of your 12ga or 20ga guns...??? / but there is just something that feels good about a stand alone 28ga....:D

You gonna love that 28 until you buy ammo - since you don't reload, be prepared for some sticker shock on the ammo

which is why I reload 3/4oz for 12 and 20....;)

I nixed the deal. Jim, you're right, I checked ammo suppliers and found 28's to be out of sight, twice the price of 12 and 20's. Happy you pointed that out. I actually thought 28's were coming down in price. Shows you what I know...

I've reloaded 28ga for a long time....so about $ 2.25 a box..../ BigD pointed it out...

but buying a 28ga is just a reason to buy a Mec Grabber or 9000 GN in 28ga...anyway ... !! :D
