Bianchi Model 100 Professional holster

I just received my Bianchi Model 100 Professional holster, size 11, for my Sig P229 (see signature for gun specifics).

Initial impressions: I like it. I like the ride height; it gives me a full combat grip. The fit is also very good. It seems more like a custom fit than a one size fits fifteen option. The clip seems very strong, and so far I haven’t had an issue with the holster coming along with the gun in my first few draws. It already feels more comfortable than my current IWB holster, the Galco Triton, and it (the Bianchi) doesn’t seem any thicker than the Galco either. As noted by others on the internet, it probably will be easier to remove the holster to re-holster the gun, instead of trying to do it while it’s still IWB.

Update

I used this holster the whole time while at the range this past Saturday. I was practicing shooting from retention, so I'm certain that I drew, and then re-holstered, my gun at least 25 times. I was able to re-insert the gun without removing the holster, but I also use my left hand to help open the mouth of the holster.

Two month update

I really like the fit and finish of the holster, but I've tried it with three different gun belts and it just moves around too much. The clip is 1-3/4" long, and even though it's never come off of my 1-1/2" belts, it tilts forwards (mostly) and backwards especially as I sit or squat. I'm also developing the bad habit of unconsciously checking and adjusting it every time I get up, and as I'm walking around. And, if I'm sitting for awhile, the seam along the bottom of the holster (almost 1/2" long and 1/4" wide) begins to hurt my upper thigh.

I put an order in for a Stealthgear holster. Stay tuned.
