better bulk .223 ammo. wolf or brown bear

wolf. no question. black bear is the only brand to ever jam in my AR. i had to ram the casing out with a cleaning rod and a hammer.

Wolf ammo is actually pretty good. It shoots very well in my mini 14. My mini 14 will eat anything, but the groups are pretty small with wolf. I can't speak for brown bear, I've never shot it.

it's all made by the same company. brown bear did seem to be abnormally inaccurate out of the VZ58 I shot it out of. my AR can push wolf into sub MOA groups so it's at least got that going for it. be careful with it though. if you shoot it too fast out of ARs it tends to snap extractors.

Spend a tiny bit more and get Silver Bear. I've found it to be more consistent than either Wolf or Brown Bear. In both 5.56 and 7.62NATO, it's pretty much the only ammo my M1A and DR200 see.

It isn't all made by the same company. It may all be made in the same industrial complex, but the companies are distinct entities.

Silver Bear is a definite improvement over Wolf, but it's still low quality.

I don't run any of the cheap import crap any more. Quality and consistency is just a few steps above abysmal. They aren't in it for their reputation or a quality product. They're in it for the massive amounts of money that Americans freely hand over for crap ammunition, because of the low price point.
