Best way to touch up blueing?

Just got my LCP back from Ruger again (long story - won't go into again) and the only issue with it is some incomplete blueing where they stamped the recall diamond on the back of the frame.

Not a big deal, I'll be touching this up myself but I'm curious whats the best method and product to do this with?

I know Birchwood Casey makes a touch up blue, but I've never had reason to touch a gun up before so I'm sure they may be better products out there.

The simpler the better. The area in question is pretty small.

Suggestions?

I have one that was recalled, I can't see the diamond mark on mine. I think the part of the pistol that is stamped is probably anodized aluminum not steel. You could touch it up with a black permanent marker pen.

I think you are right, that is aluminum. I'll try that and see if that will cover it and stay on there.
