Best way to clean down around the trigger?

I hate fighting that area with an old toothbrush. Any good secrets?

Without removing the sideplate? Brake cleaner through the little straw will clean - just don't forget to relube -but I haven't done that to any of my revolvers

I usually wrap a patch around my index finger and clean that way. Sometimes use an old shaving brush.

A Q-tip dipped in solvent, followed by a dry one works fine for me.
