Would prefer outdoor, but as long as it's... well... long... it doesn't really matter.

Willing to travel.

Live in Missouri, but will probably be relocating to Florida before the summer's over (school education)

Are you wanting to move someplace with nice, long ranges? Or just visit there?

Also, where in MO? If you're in southern MO, there's a place in Clarkridge, AR (between Mountain Home, AR and the MO line) that has a 700-yd rifle range, if I remember correctly. Ridge Runner Arms, I think, is the name.

NV has some wide open areas as well - as do most of the Western states with a lot of BLM land

Here in FL, there is a club just north of Gainesville that has a nice 850 yard range with elevated shooting platform and holds regular matches - they also have rifle, pistol, and sporting clays - PM for the name

I'll second NV and most western states, heck there's a good 1000 yard shooting spot about 30 minutes from my house in Las Vegas. Now if only I had the rifle skills to do that. :o

MT, but out-of-stater's aren't welcome! Just kidding. It is a super place to live and build shooting skills.

The gun club I'm in has 200 yard, my uncle has a 500 yard and there is an 800 yard one near me but I'm not sure what they allow they do a lot of cowboy action shooting there I don't know what else.

More then I would ever need. I don't care for long range shooting anything over 600M anyway

Probably just to visit there.I live pretty east of missouri (Saint Louis), but making the trip to Southern MO probably won't be too bad.

Thanks a lot everyone.

Stil deciding on what rifle to get. Not exactly too sure at this moment. As I still really don't understand gun nomenclature.

I somewhat have the bullet size nomenclature down (somewhat) but the accompanying guns are so varied it's hard to keep up with.

Long Range?

If you are moving to Florida the Manatee Gun Club located between Bradenton and Zolpho Springs has a 1000yds Range. Using the contour of the land they also have permanent "Gongs" at 545yds and 660yds.
