i recieved a tasco variable spotting scope a few years back for christmas. the wife and a salesman picked it out and i think it ran around $90.00. it has sights on the top to line it up and at first i wondered just what she had bought me.it is one on my most valued pocessions. it is good out to 200 yds and i hate to think how many miles i had walked in the past checking my targets.take care.
There's no such thing as "reasonably" priced optics. You do get what you pay for in optics. Spend as much as you can possibly stand. Believe me, it's worth it. AT80s can be had for around $900 if you shop around a bit. They're worth every penny.
Thanks for the input everyone. I also believe you get what you pay for. However, I would much rather spend my $ on the gun, scope, mounts etc... If I have $900 to spend, I am probably going to find one of the many guns I'm always wanting and buy it. I know it's a weakness, but I can't help it I believe the Tasco or Bushnell would fit my needs just fine.
