best skeet gun I ever owned...

picked it up back a few months ago. 12ga/28" Citori Special Skeet with original Invector non-plus choke tubes. High-post target rib with non-ported barrels, makes this one just about perfect! It's from 1985, and the gun was used just a few times. Original box with all accessories. Only mod is a Kick-EZZ sorbothane recoil pad. It's in absolute mint condition...

It can turn clay birds into orange dust!! :)

Slugo,
From your previous posting, I was about to accuse you of harboring a closet queen -- I didn't realize that it's new to you. Obviously, it was someone-else's queen -- it looks too nice to have seen any serious action. My guns of that era have the gold plating worn off of their triggers.

Hehehehe, you guys are something else. I've owned 5 Brownings since I started shooting sporting clays back in 92. All but one were pre-owned mint condition guns. The only new Browning I ever bought was a 12ga Browning Gold autoloader when the first came out, I think around 97. I sold two, a 20ga B325 and the Gold. Didn't care for the Gold, the soft aluminum receiver looked like a preyed open tuna can around the ejection port from brass hitting it constantly. It also was the loudest gun I ever owned, even with hearing protection. The 20ga B325 was a Euro gun with fixed IC/Mod chokes. Couldn't hit **** with it.

There are too many damn fine guns available on the used market, where you can save a ton of dough if you just carefully look...

I am too lazy to go take a picture but I have a Citori similar to the one above. Mine is a skeet special. It has much more usage 50,000 rounds or so. Lots of bleue gone most of the gold gone. It is not my favorite shotgun but when it gets serious and I need to shoot my best I take it.

You guys really secretly love ported guns, you're just too bashful to admit it .... :D

nice gun slugo ...( us Browning guys have to stick together ...)

:barf:

If they had an emoticon of a cat hurling a hair ball, I'd use that instead

Porting doesn't do squat on target guns - it might help on a 155 howitzer, bot not on a 410, 28, 20, or 12................

;):D:cool:

OK 1oz, I also have an opinion! I was not always a Browning shooter. Here's a BDP (before digital photography) picture of me after scoring a 44 out of 50 at the Warrington Kennel Club sporting range in Wellsville, PA. Look at the gun and guess what it was? You should know!?!:eek:

a cat coughing up a fur ball ...now that's mean !! ....

( that's the sound I made at my daughter in laws for dinner on father's day ...) ...when I realized there was Tofu on my plate ...luckily, my wife was there to save me ...( with some Salmon on the grill ...) :D

The best skeet gun that I ever owned is my 1966 vintage Winchester 101 choked skeet one and skeet two. I purchased it in the PX on Okinawa for 174.00 while I was on R&R from Vietnam. It has killed many doves and quail.
