Best scope, spotting scope, and rangefinder?

I am wondering what is the best scope for my .308 savage rifle that I'm getting. I have looked into swarovski but don't know about them still. I am looking into other scopes such as leupold and I found another brand called us optics but overall I'm new scopes and language such as parallax (which I just figured out). Any help will be appreciated. I also of course need help finding scope mounts, rangefinder, and spotting scope. Thanks!
 
What type of shooting are you doing, targets? hunting? what type?

Lots of options.

Leupold, Zeiss are nice. Burris is great on a tighter budget
 
The nikon buckmaster I have is clear stay away from leupold their glass is CRAP!also on range finder redfield is good but your limeted to under 500 yards and its 225!

As far as the best scope, most would agree on Schmidt and Bender, Premier, US Optics, Nightforce, Zeiss/Henzoldt, Swarovski, I have the Swarovski 1x6 and it is a great scope, most of these scopes will cost you in the $2000 plus or minus ball park, although you can get by with a scope costing $200 to $300, I also have Leupold, Redfield, Burris etc.

Spotting scopes probably the three most popular considered to be best, Swarovski, Zeiss, Leica.

Rangefinders probably the Swarovski first and then the Leica, I have the Leica 1600's.

Once again you can get by with cheaper spotting scopes and rangefinders.

Well if money is no object, I think PH/CB is spot on with his recommendations.

I have looked through a friend's Schmidt & Bender and it was amazing........
 
There are lots of "best" out there. Leupold, Zeiss, Nikon just to name a few. It really depends on what you want out of your scope and what you are willing to pay. A Swarovski is a great scope, but if you are going to hunt deer at 100 yards or less, a Nikon Monarch will do the job for a lot less money.
 
The spotting scope I bought is a 77mm Kowa Proimar with flourite lense.I was watching the moons of Jupiter two nights ago,in town with a near full moon.Unless mirage is bad,.22 bullet holes in an orange/white sight in target are visible at 300 yds.On a very good day,once,I was able to see 30 cal holes in the black of a standard target at 500 yds.I am not saying Kowa is best,but,for my money,it is worth looking at.
I have never regretted buying a Leupold VX3.I have regretted buying other scopes.
I do not doubt a Swaroski will be better,but for the money,my Leica rangefinder is pretty good.
I do not know how the product line is today,but long ago I bought Brunton's top line Eterna 10x by 50 mm binoculars.They are amazing.
