Best Range Bag?

Hey, I need a new range bag, but have found that a good majority of them look and feel cheap. So, I want to know what good quality bags you guys use.

Thanks in Advance!

I like the i-SHOT Inc. products. This outfit has also been great about donating products supporting various "gun board" raffles!

+1 on i-SHOT. It is one of the best investments I ever made. You can find the Pro Shooter at i-SHOT Pro Shooter. I'd tell you that I would replace it with anothe just like it but I can't imagine that it will ever wear out. :D

Think INSIDE the box!

Tool box, that is.

Specifically, the Stanley rolling toolbox. Two stacking trays over a large open area, collapsible handle (don't tell BATFE!) and a hard, flat surface to sit or work on. LOTS more space than even a tournament range bag at half the cost; more convenience and protection and it looks innocent in your trunk or truck. It also won't cut your shoulder off carrying it fully-loaded. Since getting mine, my range bags are merely ancillary.

Still want a bag? Look at Green Mountain (especially its sample/overrun/return/non-standard discount page) for quality range gear made HERE, not in some Third-World nation.

I also have an i-Shot pistol case and know people with its bags. No complaints. Good stuff from people who support the sport, even though it is made overseas.

another vote for the Stanley rolling tooling toolbox series. I have the large (25gallon?) version, and it is great.

right now i just use a laptop bag. it's a little oversize for today's laptops, i got it back when i had a laptop, which was 8 or 9 years ago. i stick to desktops now, with how easy it is to find a PC at any hotel, library, etc. i prefer the power and ease of maintenance of desktops. anyway, it's nice, the main compartment comfortably holds a large sig hard case, and could almost fit 2 usp compact hard cases. the rear compartment is basically one of those stretch-out folder type compartments, where i can stack a box of ammo in a partition and also keep targets, dry stuff, etc. the front pocket is rounder, so that's where i keep cleaning supplies. i can stuff earplugs/muffs and glasses pretty much anywhere, and i'm good to go, for a couple pistols at least.

Another vote for i-Shot bags. I have two of them and they're great. Reasonably priced, durable, and lots of pockets.

Range bag

When I bought my pistol I already had a high-quality daypack, which is good sized, extremely rugged and has lots of compartments - so I just bought a padded zippered "gun pouch" and threw that inside. It's not real "tactical" I suppose, but it works just fine! :D

I use a carry on suitcase bag. Works great!

I use Dillon bags, a rangebag to carry a couple extra guns, competition and cleaning gear, spare parts, etc. and Border Shift bags for the ammunition.

I've been using a Waller range bag for many years now and couldn't be more satisfied with it or their customer service if needed.

They might cost a little more but I feel they are worth it.

My son has a Dillon range bag that, for the $'s, is a very nice bag.

Camera Bag

When I started becoming a regular shooter and had to start reloading my own ammo, I knew I had to get a range bag. I looked at a few and didn't want to spend the 60 bucks that most bags go for.

Remember the old style VHS camcorders? You know, the one's that you had to prop up on your shoulder? Well, the bag for that thing is now my range bag. Room for lots of .45 ammo and a couple of pistols. Front pocket holds lots of mags and earplugs. Zippered inside pocket on the top flap holds my cleaning supplies.

Now if I could only find a use for that 1980's camcordrer.....

Another vote for i-shot. High quality, mine still looks new after two years of banging around on the indoor and outdoor ranges. The owner is very helpful - I think his name is Ron Hashilbie. You can also find him on THR.
