Best prices for .223 fmjbt

If you are willing to buy in bulk, and by bulk I mean 2500-5000 you can find them for $0.07/bullet.

Hornady's 55 gr BTFMJ is what I typically use. Here is a link to some 62 gr BTFMJ for 0.08/round. They are out of stock on the 55's.

To get the best pricing you must buy in bulk and/or when it goes on sale. To cut the cost get to know others in your area that reload. Shipping/hazmat cost can run cheap supplies into expensive supplies. I have brass trading buddies, powder buying buddies, and bullet buying buddies.

The brass trading buddies swap range pick up brass back and forth. I stopped shooting 45ACP a few years back and I pass all ACP brass to a friend who will give me any of the calibers I have.

The powder buying buddies will put an order together to buy bulk powder to get the best pricing. When it arrives we will pick it up and pay our part of the order. The same goes for buying bullets.

Brownells has the 6,000 rd case of Hornady 55 FMJBT on sale for $419 and free shipping. That's the best price that I'm aware of for these great plinking bullets.

I've not heard of Monmouth before reading this thread. But like their prices for Nosler 68 and 77 gr Custom Competition bullets. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting first and so far only post by a new member on their first day. Just saying.

Mission accomplished.

Best price on any old bullets?
Or best price on quality bullets?

I'll NEVER buy an 'Xtreme' bullet of any kind, no matter the price.
Seen them, gauged them, won't use them.
Lots more like that cranking out stuff that barely qualifies as 'Blasting' quality, and some aren't even safe to use at all.

Right now, Hornady is cranking out an extremely consistant bullet for a very reasonable price. Just a few short years back Hornady wasn't so hot with FMJs, but they sure stepped up there game 8-10 years ago!

If you don't care about MOA accuracy and want to plink, then without a doubt, buy Armscor bullets.

Purchased in bulk, meaning 12,000+, they're 6c a bullet, shipping included.

I run them in my machine guns with zero problems.

People knock Armscor bullets, but they have their uses.
