Who has the best price on bulk (1000 rounds) .38 ammo for target shooting?

Georgia Arms makes good stuff, and they are about $120/1000 right now.

There was some European .38 for around $100/1000 a while back, but I can't find any now.

Any ideas?

Thanks much.

You found it..............

Mini14jac: That's the stuff Georgia Arms calls "Canned heat." I believe it is simply round-nosed lead but I doubt you'll find cheaper ammo at better quality. Of course, there's always the joy of "getting the lead out" after each shooting session.

I use the Georgia Arms stuff too. The 158 grain lead SWC really doesn't lead too severely in my guns, but I keep a Lewis Lead Remover in the cleaning kit to use after a few hundred rounds. Buy a 50-pack of their jacketed HP Plus P stuff to shoot a cylinderful after each range session. That will help with the lead that you have to manually remove.

You are gettin into the area where a good hard look at loadin your own is warrented. If you and enough friends pool, and are willing to behave in a responsible manner......you can get your loads down pretty close to $50.00 per thousand for quality ammo.

Tis not for everybody tho.

Natchez Shooters Supply has new 158 grain .38 FMJ ammo from Selleir and Bellott for about $120/case. I've shot lots of it, good stuff.
