I have heard of some incredible prices people have payed at gun shows and the such, who has the best deals on-line???
The local Gun Shows in SE Mich. seem to have very high prices especially on high end handguns, is it common place to talk down dealers in this environment?? they seem reluctant to here, so I have used local stores and the internet to locate what I want.

Take a look at gunbroker.com. They have probably the best place to find deals all over the country. The classified boards here on TFL, Gunspot.com, and the various brand specific forums are also a good place. Good luck.

Mept,
The best deals at GunShows are not the dealers, but the people walking around. Have you ever sold any guns to a dealer? The experience is aweful, with a $600 gun priced at his table, you having the same gun; he'll offer you $200; it's like insulting your intelligence in front of your face. I'm not saying all dealers do this, but most do. So, this is how you get a great deal: Look at the people walking in the door and look at the guns they are carrying in (they have to check-in so that the gun isn't loaded). If you spot one you like, you ask them how much, if you like the price; negotiate. Most of the time, I follow them at a distance and see them get shot down by the dealers a couple of times. Then I approach and work the price. Beleive me, most people going into a gunshow expecting to sell their gun at 80-90% of market value; after dealing with the dealers, they would be more than happy to sell it at 60%. Good luck!
