which is the best, non resident carry permit? Which allows you the most amount of states you can carry in? As far as I can see it would be Florida. Am I wrong?

I heard that it's Utah. It's the only out-of-state course that I can find offered at one of my local training centers.

"...Guatemala..." If that's your citizenship, you can't legally be in possession of any firearm or ammo, Stateside, unless you're there to hunt or attend a match with the proper U.S. ATF permits. Non-immigrant aliens cannot be in possession of firearms or ammo. A State CCW permit does not satisfy the hunting license or permit exception to the prohibition either.
Utah no longer issues CCW permits to non-immigrant aliens. They can't do the required background check on us foreigners.

well thank God I am not an immigrant, and I already have my state resident ccw here in the states! I was born and raised in the good ol USA , and am as American as apple pie my friend!;)

I am just a missionary in Guatemala but have not given up my birthright yet. I need a non res ccw however becuase when I am stateside I travel alot and don't like being naked.

I am Canadian, live in UTAH, with a CWP

I have lived in UTAH for over 20 years, I am a resident alien but I still havn't got around to gitting my citizenship yet. Anyway, I got my CWP a few years ago. I was surprised  that they didnt seem to care if I was citizen or not,,mmmmm, maybe they should? BTW, I plan on finally getting citizenship next summer, my brother just got his after being here for 25 yrs.

it's amazing I have so many hard working educated friends from Canada who have been trying for decades and still can't legalize here, and then in Guatemala I see guys all the time, known drug traffickers and can't even read and they get get in to the us and on there way to gettin papers in no time. And we all know what they are gonna be doing with guns...:(

As far as non-resident state permits for US citizens (which is what I believe the original poster wanted to discuss), it all depends on what other CCW you have, and where you tend to travel. Sure, Florida provides the most states with reprocity, but as an Ohio permitee, I can gain more states in my area by adding the New Hampshire permit.

I don't think there are any limitations on how many non-res permits you can get. I've not seen any mention in any of the state laws I've browsed.
