Best "investment" NFA weapon

The full-auto bug has bitten me after a recent outing with an MP5. But I'm wondering
which of the civilian-available arms appears
to have the greatest potential for value increase? MP5, M16, MACs...what?

Thanks

I haven't kept track, but a report in the middle to late 1980s, after the law banning civilian acquisition of any machine gun made after the Sep 15, 1986 (?) cutoff date, said the MG population was around 220,000.

So everything is gonna go up, if the economy keeps going well.

I haven't priced one lately, but the good old "Tommy Gun" would be my guess as an investment. Relatively rare, and has a certain sentimental value...Plus, if you have a progressive reloader, it's cheap and easy to keep it well fed.

A 1928 Thompson if you can't afford a 1921.

But definitely one that takes the drum mag; these are the most sought after. The 28 is high priced but the investment value is there.

Get a copy of SGN and peruse the ads.

An acquaintance told me he saw an MP5-suppressed model for sale at the Soldier of Fortune convention in Vegas for.... $12,000, I recall. Maybe more. Dohhhhhhh

It would be fun, but I can't afford to buy one much less feed it. ;)
