Got an early look at this TenRing Precision job yesterday. Picture lost some detail when I reduced it but it is interesting non-the less. It's based on a new model ruger.

How much does an engraving job like that cost and what's the length of time in shop for them to turn out something like that?

I've ALWAYS had the utmost respect for the people who can turn out nicely engraved pieces of work like that. One of these days, I'm gonna get somethin real nice and have some amount of engraving done on it.

Then for a cheap route, I've got a few personalized CNC engraving jobs I want to have done one of these days. Like on the opposite side of one of my Bushmasters have the snake logo copied over but only have "Don't tread on me" engraved along with it.

alex told me the cost but it may not be representative. I'm not sure what it would run but figure well over $1,000. The actual cost to alex was a bit less but it may be that these lofty industry types cut each other some slack- don't know for sure but the engraver is not a mass production guy. Like most of the Texan's in the Engravers Guild he uses hammer and chisel instead of power tools and this is a pretty labor intensive job.
