Best Firearms Makers of all time

Over in the handgun forum we have the handgun maker, lets try Firearms in general.

1. Browning, in any area of firearm he belongs in at least the top three. His design of the .50 cal machine gun, M2 is still in use today.

2. Kalashnikov...the AK-47 is one of the most copied and well known assault rifles ever designed. Used by military's all over the world.

3. Mauser designer of the first practicle combat rifle. His Model 1898 was as perfect a bolt action as anyone could have made.

Shotguns - Parker or Perazzi
Bolt action - Shilen, Dakota, Heym

This list does not include muzzleloaders or makers of one off spec guns like Dreyse did around 1900.

I would add in Colt. The SAA, Peacemaker, and blackpowder pistols.

Although I believe John Browning aided in some of their inventions. The 1911 I think.

I'll put in a vote for Raven and Jennings. Together they've stopped more gangsta shootings than all of the LEO's in the nation combined.
