Depends on the pistol. If it's a stout design like a CZ75 or Glock than whatever you get your hands on will work just fine.

Discounting my own reloads (cheapest), the S&B is the best low priced ammo I have found in 9mm.

I've found Sellier & Bellot, Magtech, IMI, American Ammunition, and Denel to all be similar in performance, reliability and cost -- depending on the dealer, the sale of the week, etc.

I prefer S&B but am shooting a case of American this month. Its performed very well, so far. I've been getting most of my 9mm for around $6.10 a box, delivered. I just shop around on the internet.

Denel seems a little light, S&B a little hot (and dirty), PMP is fine. IMI is excellent. Magtech is also fine, maybe a little on the light side. (I haven't chronographed any of this stuff.)

I've had a lot of squibbs when shooting BLAZER, and don't use that in 9mm anymore.

I use Natchez shooter's supply and Cole Distributing almost exclusively, but every once in a while Century Arms or CDNN will have a special. If I order on Friday, the stuff usually delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday -- if not sooner.

I also like the Sellier&Belliot and PMC. They both work flawlessly in my Browning HP.

Another good quality ammo is SPEER LAWMAN 115 9mm TMJ. It cost a little more than the ones above but well below "Premium" ammo cost.

Try this place out: www.gfccarmex.com
It's a division of Old Sacremento Armory.
I ordered a thousand rounds $109.95 shipped.
My friend just got 5K. They are fast too. It is the Denal. I have had zero problems with it. It has all fed reliably and functioned just as well in my CZ-75 as it did in subguns (M11). I am probably going to pick up some more of it soon.

I'll second what RCS said. I stopped by and picked up a case for that price and have used 600 rds of it w/o a problem in my Sig or Glock. MWT

Its good to look out for good prices on ammo, but dont sell yourself short. Just stay away from Russian ammo if you have a good gun. I actually have no personal experience, but I am not sure of the quality control over there, vs. over here. CCI, and Federal are relatively inexpensive, and great ammo.

I don't know... A couple of the guys I shoot with use Russian ammo and a lot of it, with their SIGS and GLOCKS. They don't seem to have any problems, its cheap, and at least as accurate as what I shoot. I just don't like the looks of those steel cases. But the price is right -- especially if you don't reload.

I am curently shooting my way through a case of Wolf right now. Other than a couple of hard primers, I have had no problems. I would not trust it for defense carry, but for plinking it is great! :)

No better deal than Winchester USA 9mm ammo at Walmart for $6.96 a box. Shoots straight, always reliable, they've got cases of the stuff, and you're buying American.

If you can find the S&B stuff for 8 bucks or so, it might qualify as the better deal, but I can never find it on the shelf for less than $9.50 anymore. Did whatever the Czeks use for currency go up in value or something?

Take the long way home...
