You said "cartridge belt" not "gunbelt", so maybe a "prairie belt" will fit the bill for you? They usually go for somewhere between $35 & $60.
I like them as they hold (in this size) 42 rounds of ammunition up to 45-70 caliber & the canvas sleeve doesn't discolor the brass like leather does. Several versions exist just Google for "Prairie belt" to do a comparison shop. This one is actually upside down to show the bottom stitching. The top is stitch free wraparound style.
I just bought "The Duke" cartridge belt from Cimarron Arms for $104. It is an exact reproduction of the one worn by John Wayne in most of his movies. You might like it. Brown roughout leather with the smooth texture beltstrap leather. I Like it a lot.
