im threading my barrel for a suppreser. I will be making both treads male and female i have about .750'' distance on the barrel to thread and i would like to make only 4 or 5 turns before its tight. im not shure my lathe will cut this and i dont know if there is a tap and die made to get me close to this. thanks

I guess you know all the legal areas for suppressive where you are at.
Please don't think this as negative but if you don't know about your lathe , you should practice on scrap first.
The standard threads for suppressor that I have threaded for have been one half and five eights fine thread.
What ever size you use it must be concentric and parrall with the bore or you will get baffle strikes at worst or end strikes at least.
It would best to indicate bore with a tight fitting gauge pin in a four jaw and a spider.
Just getting a tap and die and trying to thread a barrel and can by hand, well that will get you a baffle strike in a flash , if it us not aligned right.
I have threaded AKs with a die but turned a custom bore guide.

yes i have filled out my form 1 (SBR) had it signed by my sherif and sent all the needed info and $200.00 to ATF. Tryed a few differnt threads on scrap im not shure what thread i will use (labels are old and faded) i gess it doesnt matter as long as its centered on the bore and stops in the same place. Thanks

gunkrank is right, go with fine threads. If you use a course thread the suppressor will not lock as well and will give you problems by loosening up while firing.
